Indoors they need light. They do not have great battery life but they are so cheap and small. I have to try the Action HD and see if it is any improvement. I'm still in the tape, SD world. The HD world, even the cheap HD world still confuses me. No surprise since I just threw my audio cassette recorder in the trash - not because I wanted to move up in technology but that it kept jamming. I bought the camcorder just so I could record behind the scenes footage inconspicuously on the campaign trail. It's so small I usually forgot I had it strapped to my belt!
